Cooking Guidelines
Royal spaghetti alla bolognese (for party of 20) 1 pack royal spaghetti 900g, 800g ground beef- sirloin, 20ml olive oil, 200g bacon, cut into thin strips, 1 tbsp garlic minced, 3/4 cup white onions chopped finely, 1 cup carrots chopped finely, 3/4 cup celery chopped finely, 1/2 cup red wine optional, 2 pcs bay leaves, 1/2 tsp italian seasoning, 1kg premium spaghetti sauce, 2pcs beef cubes dissolved in 1-1/2 cups of hot water, 2 cups diced tomatoes, undrained (400g), 1/4 cup granulated sugar, 1/2 cup heavy cream, salt and pepper to taste, parmesan cheese grated. 1. Cook royal spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside. 2. In a large skillet, brown ground sirloin and discard extracted oil. 3. Heat olive oil in a saucepan; add bacon and cook until slightly brown. Add garlic, onions, carrots and celery; gently cook for 2 minutes. 4. Add browned beef and wine and simmer uncovered for 15 minutes. Add bay leaves and italian seasoning. 5. Blend in premium spaghetti sauce 1kg, diced tomatoes and sugar. Stir well, simmer over low heat for 30 minutes (or longer if desired, to allow the flavors to blend well). 6.Season to taste, remove bay leaves and stir in cream. 7.Serve with grated parmesan cheese.
